We left our friend's place at around 7 a.m. and drove to very popular tourist place in autumn "Mont-Tremblant". We thought that we made a good decision to leave for Mont-Tremblant early in the morning because the weather was not good. Our initial plan was to stay there for one full day but decided to leave for Montreal a bit earlier than we initially planned. We were kind of fortunate not to get any rain in the morning but wished the weather remained good for the rest of the day.Summary:

1. Laurentians - Mont-Tremblant VillageThe nicely designed and coloured village was so cute. There are quite a few restaurants and cafes. One surprising finding was that we saw a lot of Japanese tourists there.
2. Mont - Tremblant GondlaWe thought that it was a bit over-priced ($23/adult). We were fortunate the fact that we did not get rain when we were at the top. But it as quite windy and the leaves were almost gone at the top (not the bottom mountains though).
3. HikingWe enjoyed hiking the mountain. It was just so beautiful!
4. Accommodation - Townhouse in MontrealWe have to say that we are lucky to stay here because it is 1. clean, 2. spacious, 3. not far from downtown, 4, cheap ($65/night).

今朝は朝７時前に友人宅を出発して、カナダの紅葉で最も有名なモン・トランブランへ。朝から雲行きが怪しかったので、朝一に出て正解。午後からは雨がふり だしました。予定では１日観光だったけど、半日滞在で滞在先のモントリオールへ。朝天気がもったのは良かったけど、もっと紅葉を見ていたかったなぁ。

1.ロレンシャン高原、モン・トランブラン ビレッジ
小さなビレッジはカラフルで可愛いレストランやカフェが立ち並び楽しい気分に。沢山の日本人観光客ツアーの人たちがいました。
2.モン・トランブラン ゴンドラ
一人税込み２３ドルと割高。頂上付近は強風で寒いのと、紅葉は頂上付近は終わってしまっていたのが残念だったけど、せっかく来たので雨が降る前に登れて良かった。
3．散策
せっかくなので、紅葉が一番綺麗な山の麓も散策。とにかく綺麗でしたぁ。
4．タウンハウス
本日滞在のタウンハウス。今回も超ラッキーなことに安い部屋があいておらず、オーナーがスイートを激安価格の１泊６５ドルで滞在出来ることに！！ここで２日間お世話になります。

返信削除I heard that Mont-Tremblant and Whistler have the same developer. It is a wonderful place with a nice lake at the bottom. I guess that is one of the best place in QC to see true color of the autumn.
返信削除Thanks for the comment Dan! Yes, they are both operated by Intrawest (http://www.intrawest.com/index.htm). But I have to say that we liked Whistler better. Mont-Tremblant was a lot smaller than Whistler and the weather also made us thought that Whistler was a nicer place. However, the trees were beautiful!
